For the training of master’s and doctoral students, EERP maintains four graduate programs: Fundamental Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing, and a Professional Master’s degree in Technology and Innovation in Nursing. In partnership with the USP School of Nursing based in São Paulo, it offers the Interunit Doctoral Program in Nursing.
The Postdoctoral Program is an option for researchers who wish to consolidate and update their knowledge or redirect their research focus by developing a scientific research project within one of EERP research groups. EERP publishes the Latin American Journal of Nursing (RLAE). The complete collection is available for free access at http://www.scielo.br/rlae. EERP also publishes SMAD – Electronic Journal of Mental Health, Alcohol, and Drugs, with free access at http://www.eerp.usp.br/resmad/
Due to its outstanding performance in teaching, research, and university extension, EERP has been designated as a Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization for nursing research development since 1988. In 2002, it became the first chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in Brazil. In addition to its privileged infrastructure, EERP has highly competent human capital, with notable faculty members distributed among the General and Specialized Nursing (ERG/DEGE), Psychiatric Nursing and Human Sciences (ERP/DEPCH), and Maternal-Infant and Public Health Nursing (ERM/DEMISP) departments.
